TOGETHER WITH

Good morning, Lancaster.
It has been 5 days since Easter. Those peeps are perfectly stale now, and ready to be enjoyed! Peeps are so underrated.
In today's Lancaster Ledger:
• Playa Bowls is making its Lancaster County debut
• A Greek restaurant is replacing Scooter's near Lititz
• A Lancaster resident wants to save you from parking tickets
Let's do it.

THE DIGEST
Playa Bowls is making its Lancaster County debut in Manheim Twp. 🍓
The fruit bowl and smoothie chain Playa Bowls will open its first Lancaster County location on April 26 at the Crossings at Conestoga Creek in Manheim Township. The shop, at 1500 Gilbert Way, Suite B123, sits in a row of storefronts behind Reel Cinemas in the Wegmans-anchored shopping center.
Customers can build bowls with acai, pitaya, coconut, or other fruit bases, plus toppings like cut fruit, granola, nuts, and spreads. The chain also serves smoothies, juices, and cold brew. Founded in 2014 by Jersey Shore natives Robert Giuliani and Abby Taylor, Playa Bowls now has more than 350 locations nationwide. Bright, surf-inspired vibes incoming.
Skorpios Mediterranean Taverna is replacing Scooter's near Lititz 🇬🇷
The former Scooter's Restaurant & Bar at 921 Lititz Pike is getting a full makeover. Renovations are nearly done, and the space is slated to reopen in late May as Skorpios Mediterranean Taverna & Lounge — an upscale, Greek-inspired restaurant and cocktail lounge.
New owners Antoni and Georgia Katsaros gutted the 4,300-square-foot building, added a covered outdoor patio with a bar, enlarged the interior bar area, and created an event space. Antoni manages Yorgos in downtown Lancaster, owned by his family, so Greek food runs deep here. The 260-seat restaurant will serve lunch and dinner with a full bar. Tim and Dawn Hepler ran Scooter's for 30 years before selling the property last June for $1 million. Follow along at @skorpioslititz on Instagram.
A Lancaster resident is trying to save you from parking tickets 🅿️
Here's one we didn't see coming. A Lancaster resident has launched “Free Parking Lancaster” — a service that protects you from parking tickets. Apparently the Parking Authority waives your parking ticket if you show them that you paid for parking within 1 minute of getting a ticket. Who knew.
Free Parking Lancaster automated this for all of us. The cost ? $20 a month per license plate. The service is currently in pre-launch mode with a waitlist sign-up on the site. If you've ever sprinted back to your car on Queen Street only to see that little envelope under your wiper, this one's for you. Join the waitlist at ilovefreeparking.com.
