TOGETHER WITH

Good morning, Lancaster. If you've been putting off one last banh mi from Sprout because you'd get to it next week — we have bad news.

In today's Lancaster Ledger:

• Sprout's last banh mi is Saturday

• Wawa is quietly planting a flag near F&M

• The Fulton just dropped its 2026-27 season

Let's do it.

SPONSORED BY HINKLE INSURANCE AGENCY

Your Neighbor in the Insurance Business Since 1976

Finding the right insurance shouldn't feel like a headache. Hinkle Insurance Agency has been helping Lancaster County families and businesses navigate coverage for nearly 50 years — and they've handled my business insurance needs since I launched my first company in 2020.

As an independent agency, Hinkle isn't tied to one insurance company. Karyn, Luke, and the team shop across multiple carriers to find you the best combination of price, coverage, and service. Home, auto, business, life — they handle it all and actually pick up the phone when you call.

Three generations of the Hinkle family have built this agency on one idea: treat every client like a neighbor, not a policy number. That's why families who started with them in the '70s and '80s are still there today — and bringing their kids and grandkids along.

Stop by the office at 705 Olde Hickory Road, Suite 200, Lancaster, or give them a call at (717) 560-9733.

THE DIGEST

Last call at Sprout 🥢

Sprout Vietnamese Eatery, the fast-casual downtown outpost of Rice & Noodles, is closing for good this Saturday. Sisters Vy Banh and Alys Truong opened Sprout at 58 N. Prince St. ten years ago as an expansion of their Lititz Pike flagship — the restaurant they launched in 2006 after Hurricane Katrina wiped out their four New Orleans locations. "This isn't about Sprout struggling; it's about long-term sustainability," Truong wrote — running two storefronts just made the operation too complex, and consolidating at Rice & Noodles lets them deliver a "stronger, more consistent experience."

Sprout's hours run 11 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. through Saturday. If you've got a favorite order, you know what to do.

Wawa eyeing a spot right next to F&M ☕

Wawa is quietly trying to plant a flag at Franklin & Marshall's doorstep. Last month PennDOT awarded the chain a $789,028 grant for Tesla supercharger stations at Harrisburg Pike and Dillerville Road — and Wawa's own paperwork shows plans for a 6,000-square-foot store, eight fuel pumps, and seven EV charging spots on the same site. A Wawa spokesperson told LNP the company is "interested" but wouldn't confirm specifics since it's still in land development.

Manheim Township manager Rick Kane said Wawa had preliminary talks over a year ago, then walked away over the cost of road improvements. The grant application says Wawa now hopes to break ground this fall and open by February 2027. Noted.

The Fulton's 2026-27 season just dropped 🎭

The Fulton announced its 2026-27 mainstage lineup this week: "Ragtime" (Sept. 25–Oct. 18), "Annie" (Nov. 20–Dec. 31), the Mischief Theatre comedy "Peter Pan Goes Wrong" (Jan. 22–Feb. 14), the Tony-winning 9/11 musical "Come From Away" (March 12–April 4), "My Fair Lady" (April 23–May 16), and Maury Yeston's "Phantom" (June 11–July 11).

Heads-up if you're into the newly renovated Castagna Hall: associate marketing director Kevin Faraci told LNP there won't be any Castagna Hall shows in 2026-27 — this spring's "Dear Evan Hansen" (opens Friday) is your only shot at that room for a while. Single tickets go on sale this summer; subscribers pick seats first. "Annie" at Christmas is going to sell.
