TOGETHER WITH

Good morning, Lancaster.
You know what we appreciate? The people who actually RSVP to things. You're out there. We see you. The rest of you — come on.
In today's Lancaster Ledger:
• Taylor Kinney just sold his Lancaster County home
• Lancaster's weird warm streak ends with a thud
• A bobcat is recovering in Manor Township
• A Lancaster city property sold for $5.4 million
• Carli Lloyd is headlining a Lancaster conference
Let's do it.

SPONSORED BY HINKLE INSURANCE AGENCY

Your Neighbor in the Insurance Business Since 1976
Finding the right insurance shouldn't feel like a headache. Hinkle Insurance Agency has been helping Lancaster County families and businesses navigate coverage for nearly 50 years — and they've handled my business insurance needs since I launched my first company in 2020.
As an independent agency, Hinkle isn't tied to one insurance company. Karyn, Luke, and the team shop across multiple carriers to find you the best combination of price, coverage, and service. Home, auto, business, life — they handle it all and actually pick up the phone when you call.
Three generations of the Hinkle family have built this agency on one idea: treat every client like a neighbor, not a policy number. That's why families who started with them in the '70s and '80s are still there today — and bringing their kids and grandkids along.
Whether you're buying your first home, bundling your auto policies, or need commercial coverage for your business, Hinkle's team will walk you through every option so you actually understand what you're paying for.
Stop by the office at 705 Olde Hickory Road, Suite 200, Lancaster or give them a call at (717) 560-9733. You can also visit hinkleinsurance.com to learn more.
THE DIGEST
Taylor Kinney sells Providence Township home for $755K 🏡
Actor Taylor Kinney — the Neffsville native, Lancaster Mennonite High School grad, and longtime star of NBC's "Chicago Fire" — has sold his home on Mount Hope School Road in Providence Township for $755,000. Lancaster County Recorder of Deeds records show the property was conveyed to Gregory L. Young and Brenda A. Young.
Kinney grew up in Lancaster County before heading to Hollywood (well, Chicago). He was previously engaged to Lady Gaga, who visited Lancaster County during their relationship. So if you've been wondering whether any celebrities still have ties to the area — they do. They just occasionally sell their houses.
Lancaster County is in the middle of a hot streak 🌡️
After an abnormally cold start to the year, Lancaster County swung hard in the other direction this week. Forecasts from the Millersville University Weather Information Center showed temperatures running about 20 degrees above average, with highs in the mid-to-high 70s today before rain moves in. If you ate lunch outside this week, good call.
Enjoy it while it lasts — winds up to 40 mph will usher in cooler, more seasonable air by Thursday, with temps dropping back into the 40s and 50s. That might've been the last shorts-weather day for a while.
Raven Ridge Wildlife Center overwhelmed with support for recovering bobcat 🐾
Raven Ridge Wildlife Center in Manor Township has been flooded with donations and community support for a bobcat that was admitted on February 15 after being struck by a vehicle in Adams County. The center, located in Washington Boro, is run by founder and wildlife rehabilitator Tracie Young — one of the few accredited wildlife rehabilitators in Pennsylvania.
The community response has been overwhelming, with donations pouring in to support the bobcat's recovery and the center's broader mission of caring for injured and orphaned wild animals. Each patient has its own needs depending on its species and injuries, and the bobcat is no exception. A wild bobcat recovering right here in Lancaster County — and the whole community rallying behind it. Love to see it.
Lancaster city property sells for more than $5.4 million 💰
A Lancaster city property sold for more than $5.4 million, according to Lancaster County Recorder of Deeds records published on March 9. The transaction was the headline deal among the latest batch of property deed recordings across the county.
$5.4 million is a lot of money anywhere, but in Lancaster? Did you buy this house? If so, I would love to chat about some business ventures that need investment! The county's real estate market continues to show serious activity, and this sale is one of the larger single-property transactions we've seen in a while. We'll be watching to see what happens with the property.
Soccer legend Carli Lloyd to headline PA Chamber's Women in Business Conference in Lancaster ⚽
Two-time FIFA Women's Player of the Year Carli Lloyd will be the keynote speaker at the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business & Industry's 2026 Women in Business Conference, set for April 2 at the Lancaster Marriott. Lloyd, one of the most decorated players in U.S. Women's National Team history, will share insights on leadership, determination, and breaking barriers.
If you're looking for a reason to block off April 2 on your calendar, a World Cup champion speaking in downtown Lancaster is a pretty good one. The conference brings together business leaders from across the state, and having it here in Lancaster is a win for the city.
LANCASTER LEDGER IS POWERED BY. . .
